The weekly live radio broadcasts of ‘Puppet Hunt’ ran from 1946 - 1951 on the small local station KNK out of Wenatchee, Washington.

Puppet Hunt originally aired as part of the Shinola Cavalcade of Crime but due to its popularity with listeners, it soon took over the 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. Sunday time slot as a stand-alone puppet crime noir drama series. We here at Lankey Productions have dedicated a good portion of our time and effort to finding and lovingly restoring the long lost Puppet Hunt episodes.

What People Are Saying

“If you’re looking for a podcast that breaks the mold, PUPPET HUNT is a truly exciting romp into the niche realm of comedy noir. The characters are so well-designed that they feel real and the narrative is imaginative and endlessly entertaining. 5 stars!”

— The Large Neck Virgin

“Get the word out to friend and foe alike. Let’s find more lost recordings of this 1940s radio program so Matt and Lane can share them with the world!”

— Rowan Sears

“Finally, in a class by itself is Puppet Hunt. It’s not a puppet show, it’s not exactly about puppetry. Instead, it’s a pastiche on golden-era radio series like Johnny Dollar and Dragnet, led by two detectives solving puppet-crimes in the burg of Large Neck, a town overrun with ventriloquists who frequently meet grisly ends.”
